King Abdullah II ordered to facilitate the entry and residency of Iraqi citizens
to stay in Jordan
King Abdullah II directed the government to take immediate and speedy measures
to facilitate the procedures for the entry and residency of Iraqi citizens in
the kingdom.
King Abdullah II, during his presidency a meeting to discuss the procedures
required to eliminate any difficulties facing the Iraqi citizens coming or
residents of Jordan, his eagerness to "do all the necessary steps to facilitate
the procedures for our greeted brothers, to have all the care and attention."
Prime Minister Nader Dhahabi emphasized that "the government would quickly
evaluate and modify procedures to ensure the removal of any obstacles facing the
Iraqi citizens and facilitating their entry and residency to the kingdom."
His Majesty stressed that "Iraqi residents are our brothers and guests; we must
care for them, passing through difficult circumstances, to be able to return to
their homeland and their land."
He also pointed to the "Jordan's keenness to support the Iraqi people, and
standing by their side, so that Iraq returns to its normal, in the Arab and
Islamic hoop, and people enjoy security and stability, progress and prosperity."
It should be noted that Jordan is currently hosting about 500 thousand Iraqis
have left their country in the wake of the USA invasion in 2003 noting that this
number of the Iraqis will increase to more than 1,100,000 million Iraqis in the
coming months, the largest section of this number of the businessmen and traders
and others who have their headquarters in Amman to follow up the Iraqi market
